Discovery Phase
With no information given, I was asked to work on the website redesign. I began by analyzing the website’s access analytics to discover which areas needed improvement.
The website had been fitted with an eCommerce plugin, but it was only for display purposes; it did not have payment functionality. Its installation caused disarray in the site structure. To reorganize the structure and conduct design research, I consulted many other websites for references.
Access Analytics
The website had a stable traffic flow, yet many visitors quickly left without taking any action. The contact page and about us page both had a high traffic count as well as a high bounce rate, requiring immediate updates.
Design Research
Competitor websites have applied the color green to represent cannabis. To ensure that their services stand out from the competition, it is essential to avoid the same style as competitors and instead focus on their specialty, providing a sustainable and child-resistant packaging solution.
Mockups
For a designer working at a marketing company, it can be difficult to manage a large amount of content. Content is the key for SEO to improve a website's visibility, so sufficient content must be included on each page. It is important to make sure the content is not overly lengthy, but still contains enough information.
